Our Life -- Worship, Discipleship, and Outreach

Welcome to St. Andrew!

We are a Church for the entire community even as we proudly celebrate our Lutheran biblical roots. We trust our site will provide helpful information and the means to communicate with each other effectively for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We hope to see you in church some Sunday soon or at our summer Beach Service. God bless you!

About Us

St. Andrew Food Pantry - 2024 - CLOSED

We had our final Food Pantry on Thursday, May 30, 2024.

We would like to thank each and every one of our volunteers, both past and present, that helped on that Thursday,

as well as helping throughout our many Food Pantries over the years.

Thank you all for your dedication and tireless energy in keeping the pantry running for so long.

We hope to continue seeing and working with you during our Joanna's Table Soup Kitchen,

as well as any future endeavors that we do for our Atlantic City community.

God's Peace & Blessings!

Readings of Jesus' last supper with His disciples, including the washing of His disciples' feet; praying in the Garden of Gethsemane, then the betrayal.

As this Maundy Thursday service concludes, we strip the altar area. This is a visual reminder for us to reflect on how Jesus left the comfort of the Passover meal, where friends gathered in the warm presence of God, to go out into the garden of Gethsemane, where

He was forsaken by His friends, beaten like a beast, and cast out from the fellowship

    of His people.

Jesus accepted suffering, judgement, nakedness, and death on our behalf.

All are welcome to join us.

  • April 3rd, 2026 Good Friday Tenebrae service

    Date: April 3, 2026

    Time: 2:00 pm

Our Good Friday Tenebrae service is held in the Chapel, and is a solemn remembrance of the death of our Lord Jesus the Christ.

The service begins with the remembrance of how the LORD our God has delivered His chosen people, and how we people have rejected Him, choosing darkness in place of the light of Jesus the Christ, the only begotten Son of God.

The service continues with the readings of the prophecy of our Christ and their fulfilment in the passion of Jesus. The Chapel will darken as the service progresses, until, with the reading of the seventh words, the lighting is extinguished.

The Paschal Candle, the symbol of Jesus, who is the true light of this world, will be removed from the room, as we recall the death of God's Son, the Lamb of God who takes away the wages of sin in this world.

In the darkened room we reflect on our Christ's sacrifice, waiting for the exit light to be restored. Then, in contemplation, we will leave the building in silence.

    Come join us this day.
